The primary mission of
Securus Technologies® has always been to facilitate the connection between incarcerated
individuals and their loved ones. Now, we want to focus on these relationships with our new
campaign, Securus Connects.
Sean’s daughter Amaya was born just after he was sentenced to serve ten years in prison. While it was no small undertaking, Sean managed to forge a relationship with a child he barely knew. Being able to see his daughter grow and change through his tablet solidified a unique bond which Sean and Amaya might not have had otherwise. While their relationship began as anything but traditional, this father and daughter used technology to build the foundation of their lives together.
Securus Connects focuses on bringing to life, real stories on how technology positively impacts the lives of men and women in tangible ways. These connections are the foundation of our work, and the reason we keep doing what we do in the face of any obstacle. Securus makes it possible for millions of people to share relationships from hundreds of miles away. With this in mind, we want to begin sharing the stories behind the technology.

The tablets will allow inmates to begin planning for re-integration into society by searching for jobs and accessing mental health information. Another benefit is that the tablets encourage good behavior.
The tablet is a valuable tool for learning all sorts of information that will help me mentally…to go home and be informed. I can listen to the news and study things…relevant to what I plan to do once released.
My family and I emailed every day. It made a world of difference in my life. It was my support system.
